Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 January 2026 · Last updated: 1 January 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bleach Games ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile game Beacon: Storm Harbor (the "App"). We have tried to write it in plain, honest language. If anything is unclear, email us at contact@benleach.com.
The short version: The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name or email. It shows ads, and to do that it and our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may process a device identifier and limited usage and diagnostic data. You control ad tracking through your device settings and the on-device consent prompt.
1. No account required
Beacon: Storm Harbor does not have user accounts. You do not sign up, log in, or create a profile. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or any directly identifying contact information through the App.
2. Information processed in the App
To run a free, ad-supported game, the App and our partners process the following limited categories of data:
- Identifiers (Device ID). A device or advertising identifier, including the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA), may be used to serve and measure advertising. Whether the IDFA is available depends on your tracking choice (see Section 4).
- Usage Data — Product Interaction. Basic interaction signals such as app opens, sessions, ad requests, ad impressions and rewarded-ad completions, used to operate and measure advertising and to understand how the game is played.
- Usage Data — Advertising Data. Information about the ads shown to you, such as which ads were served and interacted with, used by our advertising partner to deliver and measure ads.
- Diagnostics. Crash logs and basic performance data used to keep the App stable and fix problems.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or health data. We do not knowingly build advertising profiles about you beyond what our advertising partner does as described below.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays advertising, including rewarded ads, through Google AdMob. To serve and measure these ads, Google may process a device/advertising identifier and limited usage and diagnostic data as a separate, independent controller under its own privacy policy. Depending on your consent and tracking choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
You can read how Google uses data from apps that use its services here: Google Privacy & Terms — How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
4. Consent & tracking choices (UMP and App Tracking Transparency)
We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent message where required (for example, under EU/UK rules) so you can choose how your data is used for advertising.
On Apple devices, the App also uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You will be asked whether to allow the App to track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, the App and AdMob will not use the IDFA to track you, and you will generally receive non-personalized ads.
5. In-app purchase (Remove Ads)
The App offers a single one-time purchase, Remove Ads, handled entirely by Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and manages the transaction. We do not receive or store your credit card number or full payment details. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored through Apple's standard restore-purchases flow. Apple's handling of payment information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
6. Game Center leaderboards
The App uses Apple Game Center to provide leaderboards. Game Center is an Apple service; there is no separate login or account created by us. If you participate in leaderboards, your Game Center alias (the nickname you chose with Apple) and your score may be displayed. Game Center is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your Game Center settings.
7. How data is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared with:
- Google AdMob, to serve and measure advertising, as described in Section 3 and in Google's policy.
- Apple, as the platform provider, for the App Store, in-app purchases (StoreKit) and Game Center.
- Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the App.
8. Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Diagnostic and aggregated usage data are retained for a limited period (typically up to 24 months) and then deleted or anonymized. Data processed by Google AdMob and Apple is retained according to their respective policies. Because the App has no accounts, we hold no profile that you can log into and that we can later associate with you by name.
9. Children's privacy
Beacon: Storm Harbor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us at contact@benleach.com and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
10. Your rights and choices
- Withdraw or change consent. You can re-open the consent options at any time through the App's settings (where offered) or by resetting them in your device settings, and the consent message may be shown again.
- Control tracking (IDFA). On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to allow or disallow tracking for the App, and you can disable Allow Apps to Request to Track entirely.
- Limit ad personalization. Declining tracking results in non-personalized ads, which are still required to keep the game free.
- Remove ads. Buy the one-time Remove Ads purchase to stop seeing ads.
- Access, correction, deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Email us and we will help to the extent we hold such data; much of it is held by Google or Apple under their own policies.
11. International users
The App is available internationally. Our partners (Google and Apple) may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, those transfers rely on the safeguards described in those partners' policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
